Symptom - TV Shuts down after repair

Check: Shorted Soldering

If two or more pins are touching each other from the soldering the TV will shut down. This is a called a bridged connection. Most of the time you just need to fix the soldering and the TV will be alright. Sometimes the chip or other parts will get fried if you powered on when it was bridged. Please review our soldering guide using the link below to practice some more before repairing the bridge.

Note: Don't forget to look for solder splashes - basically solder that was accidentally splashed on the board. This will happen with you depressed the solder bulb over the board. It will blow out its contents and could cause a short.
